How It Works
A typical home energy evaluation takes 2-3 hours. It includes an assessment of your home’s insulation, heating system, air leakage and much more by a Certified Energy Advisor. The Advisor will use this information to model the energy use of your home and create a personalized report . Your report will help you understand how your home uses energy, and how you can make smart home improvements. You will also receive an EnerGuide rating which allows you to compare the energy efficiency of your home to other houses throughout Canada.
The EnerGuide home evaluation and rating system was designed by Natural Resources Canada to help home and property owners make their homes more energy-efficient and reduce the burden of high energy costs. Reep provide EnerGuide home evaluations throughout the Waterloo Region under an agreement with Green Communities Canada.
