Bringing together more than 150 faith groups, Greening Sacred Spaces educated, informed, involved and inspired faith-based communities across Waterloo Region to live their values and practice active environmental stewardship. The Ontario Trillium Foundation was the primary funder of this unique partnership between REEP and another non-profit organization, Faith and the Common Good (FCG), and interfaith and non-profit network of religious communities who understand the Earth as a sacred gift.
Although program funding has come to an end, we are confident that the knowledge and practices transferred to our faith communities through the Greening Sacred Spaces program will continue to bear fruit.
We gratefully acknowledge Faith and the Common Good, Ontario Trillium Foundation, The KW Community Foundation, Interfaith Grand River, CREW, the Ontario Power Authority and the many donors and volunteers who contributed to this program’s success over the past five years. Special thanks to Program Coordinator Jane Snyder for her stewardship of this program!
