Backyard Tree Planting Program – City of Cambridge

We’ve partnered with the City of Cambridge, Ages Foundation, Cambridge  & North Dumfries Community Foundation and LEAF to offer a Tree Planting Pilot for residential homeowners.

Our service includes an in-person consultation with an arborist in your yard, as well as delivery and full planting service. We’ll identify the best planting locations and help you to select trees best suited to your yard and personal preferences. From there, Reep Green Solutions does all the work to get your tree(s) in the ground. Note that due to constraints such as underground utilities, soil conditions or other factors there may be limits on where and how many trees you are able to plant.

You pay the subsidized price of only $150-$250 per tree

What’s Included?

  • One-on-one visit on your property with a trained arborist
  • One or two native trees, species will be chosen in collaboration with the arborist to ensure the health and longevity of your new tree(s). Depending on the tree(s) chosen, the subsidized cost of this program will range from $150-$250 per tree
  • Delivery and full planting service
  • Mulch and planting/care guide
  • Subsidized cost for our tree planting service including arborist consultation, the cost of the tree, delivery and planting

All of the trees that are available to be planted, both deciduous and evergreen, are native to Ontario. It is important to plant native trees because they require less maintenance than exotic species and provide essential habitat for wildlife. Our focus is to help you get the right tree for the right place to ensure your tree(s) will thrive and become an amenity in your yard for years to come.
